Hey anyone who lives in or has visited Helsinki, just wanted to know what it was like there. Is it a nice place to visit/live? Is it very expensive? How are the people there? Do a lot of people speak english there? Let me know. Thanks.

i've never been there, but i guess it's nice because of the high standard. on the other hand, i guess ppl are cold

It is quite expensive, but there are great cheap restaurants and small articraft/fashion shops just outside the central shopping streets. Look for Fashion District maps! Ask the people in shops for good places for a bargain, they'll help you. And yes, all the younger people speak English and they love to do it, but you have to start the conversation. If you're looking for cheap accommodation, go for the hostels. They are clean, cheap and some even right in the middle of town. Use trams, you'll see more!
