Part III in my Finnish question Trilogy. I live in Finland and want to find out what people think of Finland. So what do you think of Finnish people? Are they old Samy, fit woodsmen etc. We are much like the English except we speak Finnish so what do you think of us?

In my experience Finns don't talk much - they enjoy silence. That's not a bad thing though :-)

Kimi Raikkonen and Mika Hakkinen is cool.

Finnish are cool people that are friendly and smart. They are also good at building ships.

Finnish people R good with the neighbors countries, but that's all. For a east U.E. citizen, to come in Finland its a real pain. You don't welcome anybody who is not from your neighbors countries. Don't get me started on the citizenship papers (to become a Finnish)..OMG. But, you're ok , it is typical for a Nordic countries(Norway, Denmark, Sweden,Iceland). I think you need to be more friendly, more communicative. Finland ,i think, its a "close" country, like your neighbors. I don't want to come over there , don't get me wrong.Finland its a rich country but you need to be less isolated.

I LOOOVE Finland....I've been there twice.... I think the peopel are more nice and friendly and open one you get talking with them...(in comparison to Swedes or DAnes who are a bit formal and cold, and polite respectively) My favorite is the black licorice drink Salmiakki .... I think FInnns have sme strange tastes in music (loki, and furniture design however)

Hey Neil, I have been to Finland, people there are really good, but a little shy to talk to foreigners :) and as u said, its a great place to live in with respect to the lowest crime rates.
